Saturday Sunflower Breakfast

As the yellow hues of Autumn stream through your windows, pick a bouquet of sunflowers and invite a couple of close friends  for a relaxed Saturday morning breakfast of pancakes and bacon.

The night before set the table,  mix the orange juice, ready the coffee pot, set out a selection of flavored teas, select an assortment of jellies, jams, and syrups, and premix sufficient pancake batter for your guests.

For cooking ease I use the precooked microwaveable bacon and an electric griddle on which to prepare the pancakes.

Pour the pancake batter into a waffle set and you are read to go and enjoy a relaxing Saturday morning visit with friends.

You can easily do something similar for a sleepover for kids, or a kidnap breakfast for teens.  If having a large group I suggest Pillsbury frozen pancakes.

Pancake recipe given makes 8 medium pancakes (approximately 1/4 cup batter per pan cake).
